About The School

Kindergarten

Children, 5 to 7 year olds, are accepted into Kindergarten classes. Kindergarten is divided into Lower Kindergarten, 5 to 6 year olds, and Upper Kindergarten, 6 to 7 year olds. In addition to study periods, children have playtime, singing, poetry recitals, story time, computer-aided learning sessions and drawing and coloring practice, leading to the all-round development of each child.

The subject classes are English, Maths, Science and Myanmar language. Great emphasis is placed on the development of oral proficiency in English through an Immersion Program employing multimedia facilities.

Children are trained to develop intellectually in a pleasant, stimulating environment. Loving care and personal attention is given to children by trained, professional Teachers who help students develop into healthy, outstanding members of society.

New children entering the Kindergarten must take a placement test.

Primary School

After the successful completion of Kindergarten, children go on to Primary School. We offer full-time classes from Primary 1 to Primary 6. We have a strong academic program with a comprehensive curriculum aimed at giving our students an International Standard Education.

Students study English, Mathematics, General Sciences, History, Geography, Chinese or Japanese, Computer Studies, Physical Education and Health Education. Art and Music are offered as elective classes.

New students must take a placement test to enter the school.

Secondary School

Students successfully completing Primary School are promoted to Secondary School. Again, our goal is to give all our Secondary students an International Standard Education.

Students learn the core subjects of English, English Literature, Maths, Sciences, Physics, Biology and Chemistry through our Immersion Program, as well as the additional options including: Art, Physical Education, Geography, History, Languages, Music, Business, etc. This well rounded course of study gives our students the base knowledge necessary for the “O level” examination.

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is used to ensure concurrent development of students’ language skills and academic studies. English is the medium of instruction in all subjects. These subjects are supplemented with extracurricular activities providing practice in Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Sports. In this way, children are given every possible opportunity to receive a strong all-round education.

The creative methods practiced in our school ensure intellectual development of students, making them ready to pursue higher education later on.

Admission

Admission is open to children of all abilities regardless of their gender, race, religion and nationality. At present we are unable to accept children with special needs due to lack of specialized facilities for them and properly trained staff to teach them.

Admission to Preschool is given all the year round.  Admissions to Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School are, however , confined to May, June and July.

Students enrol on Summer English course in February and March.  Enrolment for Weekend English course is accepted in June and July.

Children joining Preschool and Kindergarten need to show Birth Certificate to confirm their date of birth for admission.

New students who want to attend Primary School or Secondary School have to take placement test.

For these children, application forms, teacher references and previous school records are required for entry.
